‘Chronicle’ Marketing Sends Some Flying People Around New York

Ignoring that the image of human bodies drifting through the air might have a haunting, tragic effect on some New Yorkers, 20th Century Fox decided to go ahead and promote their upcoming Chronicle with some remote control airplanes made to look like people and flown around lower Manhattan and New Jersey. Fun! Viral! Chronicle is a found-footage superhero tale about three teenagers that mysteriously gain various superhuman abilities, including flight, and in the words of the studio’s press release, the film “flies in theaters everywhere Friday,” so, you get it.
